I got Devil May Cry 2 yesterday and so far got to play through the first two levels on Dante's disc. The overall pace of the action is quite slower than in the first one. I found myself not using the sword very much cause he swings it so slow.
The first two levels kinda reminded me of PS2 Shinobi's levels, bland and repetitive. I'm sure it'll get better later. Some of the textures are pretty rough too, but that's expected to keep these wide areas running smooth. The only thing that bothered me a lot was the camera. It's so close to Dante all the time! Aggravating when fighting what seem to be invisible enemies.
I would have played more, but DOAX turned out to be a lot more addictive than I thought it would be.
I really like boobies.

David Williams, an ADV employee says this about Azumanga in the AoDVD forum:
I don't know what ANN is on but we don't have it.
This rumor has been floating around the net since last oct.
Ah well. I do hope it gets licensed by SOMEbody down the line. And I hope it gets dubbed too. I've watched my R2 discs upteen times over and I need a change. Even if the dub is awful (which will most likely be the case), it'll equal more laughs for me.
And that's what I want, more laughs!
Anyway, I went shopping for Devil May Cry 2 after class this morning, and of course with me living in the boondocks no one has it. Even my local video game specialty store wasn't getting it until Friday. Sigh.
Fortunately, I hate to leave the video game store without buying something, so I broke down and bought this (for $25 mind you, no way am I paying $50+ for this):
It's got boobies. I like boobies.
The instruction book is 45 pages! 45 pages for a game where you just look at boobies! It's full color and glossy though, that's always cool. It also came with a hologram card that has no boobies on it. This was not cool.
As for the game itself, aside from the graphics there isn't much to it. If you want to play an awesome volleyball game, play U.S. Championship V'ball on MAME, made by Technos. If you want to see sekushii CG ladies with boobies, play Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball.

ANN has received unconfirmed but reliable word that Azumanga Daioh has been licensed by ADV Films. Obviously no word on a release date or format yet.
I won't get TOO excited 'till I see it on AoDVD, but for now...woohoo!
And Devil May Cry 2 comes out today...double woohoo!
Now I sleep! Woohoo!
