Yikes. The animation took quite a dip in this episode (as if it wasn't low enough already). But thankfully it was still entertaining. Well, as entertaining as this show can be anyway.

Plot development! Too little too late says I. The new girl introduced in this ep, Himiko, should have been in this show from the start. She looks great!
Futari wa Precure (4)
Ok this show's going on the back burner. I'll still watch, but I'll only cap and comment on eps that have something cool in them. It looked as though the stupid visual band wannabe bad guy died in this ep, which would have made me quite happy, but then there he is in the next ep preview. Get rid of this guy! He sucks.

Yotsubato News
Azuma Kiyohiko has put on his home page that the second tankoubon of Yotsubato! will come out in April. Also, in case you haven't found out yet, the Yotsuba figure shown on the front page of his site will come with the June issue of Dengeki Daioh. Thanks to Natsume Goushin Ryu dojo for the heads up.

Episode 8 is up for download. The scans are from Dengeki Daioh (since the 2nd tankoubon isn't out yet), which unfortunately uses really crappy newsprint paper, so these scans won't be as clean as eps 3-7 (they'll be like ep 2).

R.O.D -THE TV- (21 & 22)
The calm before the storm. Super Paper Duo Yominita continue to kick ass and the animation continues to impress. Why in the world did they change the ED song this close to the end of the series? Not that I mind - it's a good tune.

Jubei's known Freasha less than a week and she's already risking life and limb to save her. What a gal. I don't know why the eyepatch was used in the end though. I think the ep would've had more impact if she saved Freasha without it.

Slick. If they have martial arts action in every ep, I'm sold. But if they phase out the martial arts with the "magical super attack that requires an enemy to stand perfectly still," I'll pass.

I can understand wearing the skimpy outfits if you go under water, but they were in the city the whole time! Maybe the animators like it because they don't have to draw as much...
