Ichika becomes rape bait then summons her moon powers which brings her bishounen friend with his super soccer ball to thwart the rapist. Speaking of bishounen, I hope the story behind those two guys doesn't take a yaoi direction, as hinted at a little in this episode. I also hope Manatsu doesn't affect Ichika's personality too much, so she can keep blushing at everything~

I like how the events are progressing, but the art and animation is just killing me. Maybe I'll soften up to it later, I don't know. For now though, this one's going on my patented watch-but-don't-cap back burner. Please direct yourself to LAWSON Quickie Mart and Zepy Sucks for screenies on later(and these first two) episodes - they'll be watching no matter what.

Nanoha seals the evil thing from the first ep with her Made in America wand then proceeds to get buddy buddy with Mr. Ferret until she has to seal another evil thing at the end, cementing her position as a mahou shoujo. Yeah, it was about as exciting as it sounds, but at least it's out of the way now. Bring on Nana Mizuki's character!

The "plot" and more baddies are revealed. The lesbians come to terms with the "plot," then the episode ends just like the first one, sans the yuri. I'm pleased that half the baddies are chicks, and that the redheaded mangaka meganekko is voiced by the MAMIKO(she's everywhere!), but I'm also scared at the same time because they all have mecha. And when you combine that with the other half of the group...that's a lot of mecha.

So many characters. It's a little overwhelming, but as long as they don't detract too much attention from the three main girls I think I'll stay interested. Stock footage for Natsuki's Dhuran summon is already being used too. I was expecting that one though(or was I?). On the plus side, Mamiko Noto voices the upside down meganekko Yukino, and Ai Shimizu once again uses her non-nasal Ren voice for Mikoto. Yay~

Good art(has a sort of Azumanga look, though it's a different studio), good animation, simple music, and good voices. Content-wise, Tenma and Kenji are great characters, but everyone else so far seems like background fodder. I'm fairly positive that'll change - I just hope when it reaches that point I'll still give a crap about them. But if not, Tenma and her cute, silly, and stupid antics will still be there. And I think that alone will be enough for me to keep watching. Relatively new VA Ami Koshimizu, who did a very good job here, has her work cut out for her.

Don't let the OP fool you - aside from Haduki being extremely cute and lively, this was dark and moody material. I wasn't too keen on the magical elements of the show, but everything else was great, especially Chiwa Saitou voicing Haduki. I missed her Kokoro voice~

I wasn't expecting this to be a fun show, but that's exactly what it was. The Sunabouzu character is really cool and the main chick is nice as well(in various ways). I'm glad she ends up being his rival rather than a tagalong. Things are just more interesting that way. As for technical aspects, the music and voices were fine, and the art and animation were typical GONZO: some scenes looked great, some didn't, a little unnecessary CG thrown in here and there - the usual.

This did nothing for me. The premise and action came off as more cheesy than entertaining. I did get some good laughs though.

Funky. And cool. This was funky and cool. Well, Nono's voice wasn't too funky or cool. But everything else? Funky and cool.

Though I'll keep watching just because it's sentai related, this was NOT what I was hoping for at all. I liked the voice work and personalities of the Musumet trio and their rivals(Engrish Masumi Asano is great), but everything else, mainly the direction and pacing, felt really amateurish to me. And not in a good way, like most live action sentai. The fact that they didn't start the series with an origin episode ticked me off too. Sentai needs origin, dammit!

Ten minutes well spent. This is definitely how I imagined Hoi Hoi would be if animated. I hope it sells well enough so that this won't be the only episode. And if it does, I hope it stays as an OVA. There really isn't enough manga material yet to make a good TV series in my opinion.

I wasn't very big on Keiji Gotoh's directorial debut Kiddy Grade, except for Megumi Kadonosono's character designs, but this show is more up my ally. Cute characters(again by Kadonosono), calm atmosphere, good music, good voices, and good animation. A little yuri doesn't hurt either.

I really enjoyed the first series, but this is just more of the same(which I don't mind) except with crappier chara designs(which I mind a lot). The animation isn't too hot either, just to add to the fact. At least the voices are still good - everyone reprises their roles. The music is still good too. In fact, the OP theme is the best part of the entire show! Love that early 90s sound.

Not too shabby. Though I don't know if I'll keep watching, because I really don't like these Triangle Hearts character designs. Everything else in the show was fine however, especially the voices. I like so many of the seiyuu involved that I might keep watching for them alone. It's only 13 episodes anyway.

This starts out like a typical ero game anime with the Marimite vibes going on then wham, they hit you with the funky mecha. But they also hit you with the yuri. Suddenly the mecha becomes much more tolerable for me, which means I'll keep watching for now. The character designs are pretty generic but the animation was above average. Music and voices were good too. Ayako Kawasumi's voice for Chikane is a nice change of pace from her other roles as of late.
